Google Gemini Pricing in 2026: Every Model and Plan Explained
Every Gemini model rate from Flash-Lite to Pro, the consumer AI plans, and where Gemini wins on price-performance.

Google sells Gemini several ways: a developer API with multiple model tiers, and consumer Google AI plans. This guide pulls the 2026 numbers together.
Last checked: September 8, 2026, against Google’s official pricing pages. Confirm before budgeting; the price map has changed twice since Google I/O 2026.

Gemini API pricing by model
Rates are per million tokens, input/output, standard tier.
| Model | Input ($/M) | Output ($/M) | Free tier | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Gemini 3.8 Flash | $0.75 | $3.75 | Yes | Newest; promo price through Dec 31, 2026 |
| Gemini 3.7 Flash | $0.75 | $3.75 | Yes | Batch: $0.375/$1.875 |
| Gemini 3.6 Flash | $0.75 | $3.75 | Yes | |
| Gemini 3.5 Flash | $1.50 | $9.00 | Yes | Prior Flash generation |
| Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite | $0.30 | $2.50 | Yes | |
| Gemini 3.1 Pro (preview) | $2.00 | $12.00 | No | Higher rates above 200K tokens |
| Gemini 2.5 Flash-Lite | $0.10 | $0.40 | Yes | Cheapest paid Gemini |
The story since June: Google shipped three new Flash generations (3.6, 3.7, 3.8), all priced at $0.75/$3.75, half the price of Gemini 3.5 Flash. The rate is explicitly promotional “through December 31, 2026,” so budget for a possible increase in January.
One correction worth flagging: the $0.10/$0.40 floor belongs to 2.5 Flash-Lite. The 3.5 generation’s Flash-Lite is listed at $0.30/$2.50. And the old “Gemini 3 Flash at $0.50/$3.00” row no longer appears on Google’s pricing page at all.
The free API tier remains the most generous in the industry. Nearly every Flash model can be called at $0, rate-limited, if you accept that Google may use the content to improve its products. For prototyping, nothing from OpenAI, Anthropic, or xAI matches it. Note the tiered pricing on Gemini 3.1 Pro: prompts above 200K tokens cost more, so long-context work needs budgeting.
Google AI consumer plans
| Plan | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | Gemini 3.6 Flash, limited 3.1 Pro access |
| Google AI Plus | $4.99/mo | Price cut from $7.99 in June 2026; 2x usage, 400 GB storage |
| Google AI Pro | $19.99/mo | 4x usage, 5 TB, YouTube Premium Lite, $10/mo Cloud credits |
| Google AI Ultra (5x) | $100/mo | 20 TB storage |
| Google AI Ultra (20x) | $200/mo | Cut from $250 |
Google confirmed the two Ultra tiers at $100 and $200 flat on its own blog, and cut AI Plus to $4.99 while doubling its storage to 400 GB (reported by Engadget and TechCrunch when the June change shipped). At five dollars, Plus is aimed squarely at ChatGPT Go.
Which Gemini option should you pick?
For developers, default to the new 3.6-3.8 Flash generation at $0.75/$3.75 for most work, drop to 2.5 Flash-Lite for high-volume simple tasks, and reserve Gemini 3.1 Pro for jobs that need its reasoning, watching the 200K-token price step. For consumers, AI Pro covers most needs; Plus at $4.99 is the cheapest paid AI subscription from any major provider.
